The Sony KDL-46Z4100 is a 46 inch Bravia series LCD television that seems to impress just about everyone that has a peek at it. This 46 inch LCD television has a display format of 1080p which is very good for a 46 inch television, although some might argue that the true quality of 1080p display format is seen on a larger screen, perhaps on a 50 inch LCD. It has a dynamic contrast ratio of 30000:1 which is quite an above satisfactory ratio. To better judge the Sony KDL-46Z4100, let’s take a look at some of the positive and negative aspects of this television:
The positive aspects of the Sony KDL-46Z4100: For starters, the accuracy of the colors are above average which helps in producing a high end picture quality. The television has plenty of connectivity options that include four HDMI ports as well as a very handy PC input that allows you to connect your computer to the television. It also introduces a LAN port which allows you to view your photos via a LAN connection which is not all that much of a benefit but still a favorable point to say the least.
The negative aspects of the Sony KDL-46Z4100: The network function on the other hand does not allow the viewing of videos or listening to music which is a great disadvantage for users who were expecting to enjoy music as well as videos with the television. There is a slight issue in the picture transitioning of this television where some red trails are noticed in high motion pictures.
Overall: The bottom line is that the Sony KDL-46Z4100 is a decent television that has been produced as the middle range television from Sony. It is not the best 46 inch LCD television out there in the market but it definitely stands out to say the least. It has plenty of connectivity options which are always useful for a user. It would have been much better if the picture quality of this television was a little better since it is not the best LCD in the market with regards to the quality of picture.
Without a doubt, this television is great but when we compare it to the 2008 LCD champ which was produced by Samsung, we can easily point out and notice a gap in quality. This is one of those typical decent LCDs that has a bit of room for improvement in order to be considered the very best.
