Creating quality backlinks is a very effective way for a blogger to increase flow. This is one means of marketing for a site that helps it to be accessible to readers around the world; and can eventually improve its ranking against other sites on the same niche.

Backlinks are actually links or placement of a site's URL to other related sites. These are incoming or inbound links that point toward your site from other sites. The more quality backlinks you create, the more they help to significantly help your growth. Backlinks can be made through making comments on other blogs or sites that promote the same niche as yours.  

You can either put your name along with your URL and comment on a post which is relevant to the page where you want to link to, or put HTML tags or anchor text wherein a particular keyword links to your related post or home page. Backlinks can also be created through blog directories submission on the Internet, and engaging in forums, discussions, reviews, and other social media related marketing.

You might ask what are quality backlinks and what are not?  

Quality backlinks are incoming links that are coming from high-ranking sites, or sites that have a related description to your own website. In other words, quality backlinks should be coming from a high PR (Page Rank) site related to your niche.  

Submission of URLs to blog directories can also be considered high quality backlinks as long as the links are coming from blog directory sites that are already popular on the Internet.  Low quality or no-quality backlinks are links from sites that have lower PR than your own, and worse if the links come from sites which have no PR at all or zero page rank.

You can also acquire low quality backlinks if these are from sites not related to your site's niche or sites that are banned by Google. If for instance, you are still yet to acquire a PR, it is still wise to make backlinks from sites that already have PRs; 3 to 8 PR sites can be much better. It is very important to make sure that the backlinks you create are of hi-quality.  

Creating quality backlinks can mean that your page is valuable to readers who want to find other relevant and reliable information to other reputable sites. Once your backlinks are placed in many high-ranking sites which are visited by a thousand visitors a day, your site will maximize its visibility. In addition, hi-quality backlinks will increase traffic and page rank to search engines. Once your blog's or site's ranking and traffic increases, it can easily be found by users in search engines, particularly Google. And if this happens, you will earn money more than you can expect.
