San Jose is an amazing city that offers a varity of romantic locations one can go for a date. However the first one is always special so has to be perfect. But with so many locations to choose from how is one able to select the perfect place. Because of my extensive knowledge of the area this guide will help anyone to make the perfect first date.

Its usually common to first meet up at a coffee shop for a casual encounter. The most ideal coffee shops to meet at are Barefoot (located on 5237 Stevens Creek Blvd) and Coffee Society (located on 1875 South Bascom Ave. and 21265 Stevens Creek Blvd ). Its common fact, Barefoot is one of the best coffee shop in the San Jose area. It has won many awards from and it has always been on the top 3 list of "Best Coffee Shop" of every major publication in Northern California. The coffee is among the best in the area as its brewed fresh in the store with a good selection to chose from. But there is more to Barefoot then just the coffee.

Coffee Society (or CoSo as the regulars like to call it) is the next most ideal coffee shop in San Jose. With two locations, each Coffee Society offers uniqueness to what you're in the mood for. The one in Campbell has the luck of being located at the Prunyard Shopping Center which offers many opportunities for customers. During the day it's the ideal place for brunch or a break from your work. At night its perfect to hang out with friends and enjoy the night while puffing on a cigarette.

For those who prefer bars there are some good selections for a first date. Britannia Arms in Downtown San Jose is one of the best Pubs in the Bay Area with a friendly staff along with a good beer selection. It gets too crowded on the weekend but the atmosphere is friendly and very local. They have live music every week to go with the fun. There is a good selection of beer along with some good food.

If you want to add a movie as part of the date then try the Century Theaters on Winchester Blvd. or Camera 7 in the Prunyard. The Century Theater are perfect because of its variety in film and located in an ideal location. Camera 7 has that classic fell to it as each screen room only accommodates 50 people but you get an old school feeling to it.

Finally if one just desires a stroll down an ideal area, there a few locations one could venture to. The first would be historical downtown Campbell. At night this small strip comes to life and one could really appreciate the area with a lovely companion by your side. The next location would be downtown Los Gatos, which in resent years has been quiet which would make it perfect for those who want the sidewalk for themselves.
