There are four disadvantages of buying SEO articles from a writing service.  First, these types of articles are always written for the search engines not for their users.  Second, one can never guarantee the source and uniqueness of articles.  Third, one usually does not get the desired results the first time.  Fourth, writing services’ writers might be well-versed in SEO, but not in copywriting principles.

Disadvantage #1: Articles are Written Primarily for Search Engines

SEO writing services write articles primarily for search engines.  They do not consider the reader that much.  Writing content for the search engines is a SEO mistake.  The clear-cut evidence is what Google and Yahoo! state in their quality guidelines:

Google:

“Make pages primarily for users, not for search engines…”

Yahoo! (under “What Yahoo! Considers Unwanted” category):

“Pages built primarily for the search engines…”

Pages here refer to web pages and what they contain (content, links, etc).

By purchasing SEO articles you put your website in jeopardy.   The search engines do not like articles that are written for their spiders only.

Disadvantage #2: The Source and Uniqueness of Articles

At present, it is hard to guarantee the source and uniqueness of articles.  This is because of the availability of software like Content Creation Software and Content Spinning Software.  These types of software can create content and generate up to 100 versions of one article.

Content Creation Software generates data from different sources.  For example, it can get information from search engines, article directories, Google Scholar, blog directories, etc.  After that, the software combines sentences from different sources to create a meaningful whole (an article). 

You would not know whether or not a writing service is using Content Creating Software.  The likelihood that they do is high.  Furthermore, you would not know if the writing service spins the article you purchased and create different versions of it.  They can create as many versions as they want with Content Spinning Software.

With SEO writing services, the source and uniqueness of articles are never guaranteed.  Having non-original content on your pages is going to have a detrimental effect on your search engine rankings.
