My Thoughts of You

Why do I try so hard when it's obvious you want nothing to do with me?
You're only my friend when no one's around.
Am I not cool enough for you?

I'm going through a lot of stuff right now that i could really use a second thought,
A pick me up,
A nice comment,
And it's OK I'm here for you.
Something other than just utter silence.

You've always told me you were here for me.
Are you?

Do you know that I cry myself to sleep every night over things i can't get out of my head?
Do you care?

I finally decide to let you back in and you tore me apart without even knowing it.
Am I not good enough,
Cool enough for you?
I use to be before you found better friends.

Every single day you see a smile on my face and I look happy.
Is it real?
But really I'm a mess inside.

Tell me...

Does it sound like I need mental help?
Or does it sound like I could use someone who truly cares.
Someone that will be there for me through thick and thin?

I guess we'll never know...
