Do you want to learn to write irresistible and eye-popping headlines that can grab a reader and not let go? If so, this is the article for you. The 5-15 words that comprise the title are by far the most important words of the entire article. Therefore learning the anatomy of a good Internet title is as one of the elite tricks to a successful article.
What makes a great Internet title?
♦ Keyword Repetition ♦
There is no way to overrate the importance of SEO for article titles. Every good title needs to have the primary keywords for the article repeated within the title. This is the way you get good SEO within the title. A keyword is a word or phrase that is repeated throughout the article. A good keyword will be used with a 2-5% frequency in the article. Most importantly it needs to be contained in the title also. Google results highly favor having keywords in the title. Having keywords in your title should also alert the reader that they are in the correct place and shall be reading what they expect to read.
♦ Hooks ♦
A title should have a hook. A hook is something designed to give the reader that extra reason why the article needs to be read. If the "hook" promises something from the article it needs to be delivered in the article.
1) Topical: Write about trending stories. Things that are becoming popular. If you can tie your article in to a popular subject of the day or interesting news item you instantly increase your readership potential.
2) Interesting words: Sometimes the words themselves can spark interest in the reader. It is all about interesting adverbs and adjectives that do the trick. Eye-Popping. Ninja Tactics. Incredible Hacks. Stunning secrets. Proven Facts. All of those phrases are meant to draw a reader in deeper; and they do.
3) Controversial:This is all about going against the grain. If there is a document that is "sacred" or "renowned" in your niche call it into question in the title. As an example: "Is the US Constitution a worthless rag?" Now my opinion is that it is a very important document and my article would say that, but by having the title written that way it shocks people, perhaps even angers some, but it gets them to read.
4) Fact: Having a factual statement in you article followed by backing up that statement
