Guide to naturism camping

The key to naturism, or naturist camping is always keeping in mind what your goals are. For most people naturist camping is a way to camp out in the woods, or far away from all other people, in ways that are most conducive to getting close to nature.

The part about getting far away from other people is key; because sometimes naturist camping involves camping with no clothes on. But of course, it’s more than that, because if you are planning to be naked outside, you need to consider some other things too. For example, you probably want to watch the weather forecasts, as not too many people are going to take off their clothes if it’s too cold outside. Also, you might want to think about where you’re going in terms of the local bug population. For example, if you wind up camping in a place where biting black flies are prevalent during the time you plan to be there, you won’t likely see the logic in taking off more clothes rather than putting more on.

Also, it might be noted, that most anyone that goes wilderness camping, naturist or not, will at some point find themselves outdoors either naked or partly so, and this is because it’s easier to dress and undress standing up outside than it is to do so in the confines of a tent, and also because there’s no real way to urinate or defecate in the wilderness without exposing some portion of your body that normally is never exposed to the elements. Thus, naturist camping is really more of an extension of the practicalities of camping out where there isn’t anyone else to see what you’re doing or wearing, or not wearing, then it is an exercise in planning to be naked a lot.

Something else you might want to think about if you’re planning a naturist camping outing is looking to see if you might be able to find a place where you can go swimming au natural, as this is one of the things most naturist excursions entail. Usually it’s a lot easier to find a place out in the wilderness next to a river or stream than it is a lake, as lakes tend to attract a lot more people; which can put an end to your naked plans.

And finally, you probably ought to take a pretty close look at local laws regarding nudity before you head out, and what the penalties are, as you really don’t want to get arrested and charged with a crime that could result in you being put on a sex offender list for the rest of your life.
