Abolishing poverty: methods and theories

"Times are rough, and the people are in trouble."

It's sad to think of poverty but at least we're only thinking about it and not living it. Right?

One person might think: The homeless people in Washington D.C. are poor, dirty, stink of urine, alcohol, garbage. Man I'm so glad I'm not homeless … and then 2 years later he loses his job and all his money and is forced to become homeless.

What are we to do? How can we avoid this from happening?

Don't worry … That couldn't happen to you … you've taken precautions. You have money in the bank. Been saving your whole life. If I was you I wouldn't worry. No sense losing sleep over it. You don't live in poverty.

Yes but How do we abolish Poverty?

Death and Taxes ... Our only assurances in life.

In order to abolish poverty we need to decide whether we want to abolish money. If the answer is no then poverty stays on the table. The truth is we don't want poverty … it sucks, but it's here to stay.

But then again it's been this way LONG before you or I were born. It's been going on ever since the creation of money, and it will continue to grow until “we” the People of the World abolish it. It's quite simple actually, we are all slaves.

“I'm not a slave I work and make money … I have over a million dollars in the bank saved up.”

You might not think of yourself or anybody for that matter as slaves. Slavery is a system in which people are the property of others. Slaves can be held against their will from the time of their capture, purchase or birth, and deprived of the right to leave, to refuse to work, or to demand wages.

You are a slave to your government. You are a slave to money, and all it's perks. You are a slave.

You might be thinking “Be realistic it's impossible to fix everything, let alone poverty. Not if we need to abolish money first; Ridiculous.”

It's the only thing that makes sense … but it's frowned upon to think this way. People are creatures of habit and will continue to live under the power of money. It's less stress that way. We can sit in silence and not be reminded that we are hopeless. Sorry Homeless i.e. poverty.

It's a radical way of thinking I know but it's the “only” possible solution. Yet then again there's always going back to sleep.
