Poetry: Just a dream

by RC Shivers

Created on: September 16, 2010

Daylight then darkness

Links in a chain working in unison

My existence snakes through the underworld

Stale air conveys a feeling of emptiness

Yet another presence

My eyes scan the darkness,

as if aided by infrared

What lurks in the shadows,

haunts the subconscious

Who's there?

What do you want?

The sharp glimmer of gunmetal,

exposes itself in a passing light

My life is in danger

What can I do?

BZZZZZZZZZZ
