From time immemorial man has seen beauty, power and holistic reasons in stones and crystals. As you may see herbs having healing powers, so do crystals. Crystals inherit special energies and powers that can be used for improving human lives.

The magic and power of crystals is as old as man and the earth. The early men had found that there are some special energies entrapped in these crystals. These energies in the crystals were used as shielding amulets to drive away negative or evil energies approaching us.

Crystals lay burried in the earth for million of years waiting to be taken out. People keep them in shrines, cupboards or specific places in their houses to change the luck or to heal physical and mental illness.  Crystals are wonderful gifts offered by the Mother Earth. They are not priced exorbitantly when compared to precious stones and different type of crystals are used for different kinds of purposes.

Clear Quartz

Clear Quartz is the most commonly used crystal in the current era. Clear Quartz is used in many forms like pendants and bracelets or used in the form of balls that can be hung in homes or offices.

Modern technology uses clear quartz crystals in radio transmitters and receivers as well as the computers to retain and give out information in the form of electromagnetic energy. Reiki healers make use of these quartz crystals as healing devices for their various kind of Reiki treatments. The bracelets or pendants can be worn by a person to protect himself/herself from negative energies.

A quartz crystal pendant worn around the neck of a person, increases psychic feelings in him/her. You can keep it underneath your pillow as it gives dreams which are actually the language of the deep conscious mind. It also provides peaceful sleep.

Procedure for purification of crystals

All crystals and stones should undergo the process of purification before use. Crystals can record and save vibrations and before they reach you, they would have passed through the hands of the miners, workers, jewelers etc. So it needs purification before using. Salt water purification is the best method of purifying crystals.

Immerse the crystal in a glass full of water with minimum four spoons of unrefined sea salt or rock salt. You can use a non-metallic glass for holding salt water. Keep the crystal immersed in salt water for at least one week. After one week remove the crystal from salt water and throw the used salt water. Wash the crystal directly under tap  water. Then keep the crystal in a ceramic bowl and keep it under sunlight for around 2 to 3 hours. Early morning sunlight is considered better for this purpose as it  is fresh.

Programming of crystals

Now the crystal is free of old vibrations and is ready for your own programming. You can program them using images. Decide what you need to gain mainly from the using this crystal and think of an relevant picture that describes clearly what you desire. Visualize yourself in the picture with a smiling face to ensure satisfaction and happiness.

Crystal balls can be used for goodness of the whole family. This should be done keeping the crystal in your left palm and covering it with your right palm for nearly 5 to 10 seconds keeping the picture in mind. This is the programming of crystal and programming does the function of recording your desire into the crystal. It is believed that once programmed, the crystal channelizes its powers to achieve the goal which has been programmed on it.
