If we could put ourselves in each others skin,
Perhaps the world would change!
For I would see what its like to be you,
and you what its like to be me.
It would help us understand our differences,
of religion, race and creed.
It would help us lose our ignorance,
It could start to set us free.
If we could put ourselves in each others skin,
I would make it a new law.
That the young become old and the old become young,
and see what its like for a day.
White would become black,
and black become white.
The able I would disable,
and visa versa.
The thin would become fat
and the fat become thin.
The ugly beautiful
and the beautiful grim.
The happy sad,
And he sad would laugh,
The poor become rich
and the rich go with out.
If we could put ourselves in each others skin,
It could bring hope to the world.
It might start to change,.
But why should we wait?
Let us start right now,
But why should we wait?
Lets start right now
and be the change we want to see!
