If you know someone in the military, then you might choose to make a scrapbook page in order to honor them. You can include various components in such a page, including the following.
Start off with a fitting background
You can line the page with red, white or blue paper. You can find all sorts of paper with an American theme. You can also use fabric for something different.
Add photographs of those in the military
If you are making the scrapbook page about a particular person (or yourself), then you can put in pictures of him or her. It can be their official picture from the military, a picture of a special ceremony or just candid photos of them while on duty. If you do not know anyone, then you can just put in general pictures. You can also put in famous images from the different wars.
Place in mementos from the military
Someone might like to actually display some of their medals or other mementos from a military career in a scrapbook page. There are different ways to attach this. You can glue them, but if you do not want them getting glue or tape on them you can also use a clear or opaque envelope to keep them in. If someone was in the military and kept a journal, then this can be a good place for some of these pages. He or she can also give information about his duty such as rank and promotion history as well as times of duty and operations he or she went on.
Quotes about the military
You can paint, write or draw various quotes. You can put in something like "Be all that you can be."
Information about the different branches of the military
You can separate the scrapbook page into different sections such as the navy, army, air force and coast guard. You can have details about these groups. You can also show what the uniforms look like and the type of missions that they go on, as well as the differences between them.
Place in fitting embellishments
There are many embellishments that can add to such a page. You can get stickers such as red, white and blue stars. You can even put in a miniature American flag. There are many ribbons with an American theme that would look good.
A scrapbook page dedicated to the military can showcase the importance of this important part of America, as well as a particular person the page creator knows. They may choose to add the above elements to their page.
