The morning sun shone through the window and onto Timmy’s face, waking him for a new day. “Good morning Simon” he said to his friend Simon, a six foot white scimitar.
“Good morning Timmy, how are you today?”
“I’m great.” Timmy replied as he jumped off the bed and went into the bathroom. He washed his hands, brushed his teeth and combed his hair. Then Timmy put on his 'Sword of Ultimate Power'. He and Simon began their journey into the Enchanted Forest. Timmy, with Simon's help, fought off trolls and monsters of every shape and size. They found a nice clearing to sit and rest. “ I know Simon is your friend” Desmond replied. “He is, after all, a white scimitar, proud and strong; so I will go if Simon wishes.“
"Wait Desmond,” Timmy interrupted, “Simon, I don’t think we are giving him a chance.”
“It’s okay Timmy,” Desmond said. “He is only trying to protect you; but at one time, he was a stranger as I am now.” Desmond walked over beside him and gently placed his talons on Timmy’s shoulder. “If both of you will give me a chance, in time you will learn to trust me.”
Simon looked hard at Desmond, and then he looked at Timmy. Simon leaned over and whispered in Timmy’s ear, “You are my master, if you want us to befriend him I will, but I will be watching him!”
“We'll give him a chance,” said Timmy.
So Timmy and Simon allowed Desmond to accompany them and join their quest. The three of them searched
