As the color of the landscape changes in the fall, so should the colors of our wardrobe.  This fall's hottest color trends are camel, cobalt blue, purple, gold, black and olive.  Here is the inside scoop on how to wear each hue:

CAMEL 

Prada, Gucci and Chloe have shown us on the runway that monochrome is this year's trend for camel.  Blouses, pants, shoes and coats (like the Carven double breasted wool-blend coat) are the way to go all out in camel.  If this look does not totally suit you, try the Chloe taupe and light brown wool jumpsuit with a camel coat, shoes and accessories.  You can also opt for a contrasting sash around an all camel colored ensemble.

COBALT BLUE

This color was found in Burberry and Anna Sui collections.  Cobalt blue is best worn with black this year.  Try black pants and a cobalt blue shirt or cobalt blue printed tights under a black wool sheath.  Black shoes and/or accessories should go with cobalt blue outfits and vice versa.

GOLD

Look fabulous sans jewelry with a metallic gold blouse or dress. To keep your look 'work ready' or 'everyday', pair gold apparel with plain suede boots (like Alexander Wang did on the runway) or a large, neutral colored bag  Don't wear all gold unless you are headed to the after-after party!

PURPLE

This passionate hue hit the runways in fashion and in beauty.  Purple party dresses (like the one by Dennis Bosso) were hot!  Reminiscent of the '80's, Miu Miu, Carolina Herrera, Peter Som and Missoni models wore purple on the eyelids and lips.  M.A.C. and Dior have great purple lipstick in different shades,  Make Up Forever and Dior have great purple eyeshadows, available at Sephora.

BLACK

Wear black this fall in sheer or lacey layers.  MaxAzria has a sexy black lacey bodysuit and Diesel Black Gold presented sheer black tunics layered over T's and jeans.  Check out Bebe for black lacey goodies like their lace peeptoe bootie and lace and crystal stretch belt.

OLIVE

Military inspired is back.  Olive colored jackets, skirts and pants hit the runway with force this season.  Mix this color (and look) with feminine aspects such as lace or ruffles-a balance of tough and soft is what you want.

Have fun and get creative with this fall's hottest colors but never ever wear them all at once!
