The love of God!
“But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: that, according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 1:30, 31)
He that glory, let him glory in the Lord! But why? Because it is through Christ that we receive our blessings and any Christian who forgets this foundational principle is glorying in his or her own self. Remember the bible tells us in Ephesians chapter 4 verse 14 that one of the major reasons why Christ gave gifts to the Church is to mature us concerning the truth of Christ. Listen to the verse. “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.” That word sleight means trickery, and it takes a certain kind of wisdom to trick someone.
Many Christian men and women of God are being tricked by the devil into teaching a doctrine of hate, condemnation, judgment, and the fire of hell assuming all along that they are spreading the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many good Christians have the hardest time in the world with the true nature of God; which is LOVE! God is not only the good God of love, but God is love. Love is who God is. Love is the reason why God sent Jesus to the earth. The message of the gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news of love! The bible says this in Romans 2 verse 4. “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” Notice that the latter part of this verse says, ‘the goodness of God leads to repentance’. I wish many preachers will understand this, that it is ONLY the GOODNESS of God that leads people to repent of their sin. However, in a vain attempt many preachers preach the law, hell fire, wrath, and judgment trying to reach the world.
I was listening to Christian radio, when I heard a preacher ask a question of what will happen to a person who is in a backsliding state and the rapture occurs. The most common understanding in the Church today is that a back slider is on their way to hell. The problem with
