I have been playing games for a very long time. As such, I can personally attest to most of these, either through doing them myself or seeing others in my old gaming group do them.
1. Cuddle time with your spouse is limited to the amount of time it takes your character to heal - Anyone who's ever played an MMORPG and had a significant other knows what I mean. I was playing Everquest at the time, and it was taking an average of more than 30 minutes to heal from a battle. On the plus side, since you couldn't do anything else whilst healing, this was the one shot you had at spending time with your s.o.
2. You watch the screen and not your spouse during more intimate moments - Going back to the first item on the list, even though you couldn't partake in any activities in-game whilst you were healing, you could still send and receive messages, and had to always be on the lookout for one, no matter what you're up to.
3. You fall asleep only to work on beating a level in your dreams - I don't know if this is an actual medical condition or not, but this happens to me for some games. You go over and over whatever game you were playing in your dreams, and the only way for me to stop it is to stop playing the game for three days. Not a nice experience but I consider this something of a price for the amount of time I spend playing games.
4. You forget that you swithced games and are using the button controls for the previous game you were playing - You were playing the previous game for so long that you're still using it's control set-up and are scratching your head as to why your character zigged when it should've zagged.
5. You tell what day it is by how much mold is on the leftovers - This is a real sign of a die-hard gamer. You made something to eat a week ago, ate some of it, and forgot it was there. When you find it you have flashbacks of the Toys In The Attic episode of Cowboy Bebop.
6. The layer of dust in your home is more than a centimeter - Naturally, if you're playing games all day, you're not stopping to clean the house (or do much else for that matter). As such, nature starts to take over and it doesn't take long for stained wood to turn grey.
7. Your wearing the same clothes on Sunday night that you were wearing Friday morning - Now this is what I call a marathon. Could be the end of of the school year. Could be graduation. Could be a greatly anticipated game. Whatever the reason, everyone showed up at your place on Friday night and you're still playing
