I try to remember the good times
when I felt your soft kiss on my lips
and heard your whispers of love in my ear
I try to block out
those sharp blows I felt across my cheek
and those harsh words that brought me to tears
I hope you will forgive me
for all those times I was bad
I hope you will forgive me
for all those times I made you mad
I know that you are sorry
I know that this was the last time
I just want you to love me
and stay by my side.
