My Dark Side
There are times when it seems my dark side takes hold
And the goodness inside is seldom told
The anger within overshadows the good and
my love doesn’t show the way that it should
I get mad
I hold a grudge;
My stubbornness won’t let me budge.
I wrestle with it
Sometimes I doubt;
But it’s part of me that I can’t shut out.
I want to do good
God knows I try;
But my dark side takes over and I don’t know why.
We all have a dark side
This much is true;
But how you control it is up to you.

The Darkened Beast
Amidst the golden heart there lies,
A beast that lurks unseen.

A grain of sand in Neverland
That no one’s eye invades
The blood pours down a single hand
Emerging from the shades
Did you ever wake up dead?
Did you ever wake up dead, and
Wonder why you were still alive?
Ever feel guilty, because you fought
My dark side resides deep within,
far away from the touching light,
staying silent until it begins,
the sunset and the arrival
