Who is God? A very interesting question that has dominated human thinking since ancient times. Do we accept the literal translation of the Bible that God exists as spirit and created man in his image? The problem with that is the texts of Genesis are taken from ancient Mesopotamian accounts of beings, who descended from the stars and created humanity. In fact, much of Genesis has been "borrowed" from these other texts. In other words, is the existence of a Supreme Being just interesting myths borrowed from other parts of the Middle East, interestingly enough ancient Iraq? Or is there more to these myths, including advanced beings interfering in ancient human history-creating humanity, much like what the Mesopotamian texts alluded to?
But still, a possible extraterrestrial/interdimensional intervention in the creation of humanity should not weaken the concept of a God. For there is enough evidence that we have a soul that transcends physical death-something that no other race of beings could ever create. In other words, we have within us, a divine spark. Even if the spirit did come from their tinkering with their DNA, it should still not weaken the concept of a God. It would mean that they passed on the 'Divine-Spark' to humanity. A spark that came from their own divine creation, one way or another.
The Bible did speak of God existing as spirit. So there is more to the Bible, the Talmud, the Koran and other holy books that is not necessarily just myth, genetic engineering of humanity. There is strong evidence of a Superior Being, possibly existing as spirit. But if this Divine Being only played a small role in our direct creation, did this being play a much larger role in the creation of the beings who allegedly came to Earth in ancient times. The same race or races of beings who could have very easily engineered humanity-us.
However, we still do not know who God is. For whatever, we get an inkling of it in the Holy Books as a spirit who may have frequented the Earth for ages. So, really, the Bible (amongst other similar ancient texts) is a mix of intervention by advanced possibly multiverse or extraterrestrial in origin beings...and a Supreme God. This being may reside in a multiverse or other plane of existence as a form of intelligent energy that the soul may be very similar to in composition. But in the case of

This is an interesting question that people have been trying to answer for hundreds of years.
If we actually are to answer this question we must not look at it as who we think God is, but who God is according to scripture.
