who must make peace on the ground. It gives Palestinians the idea that the international community will buy into efforts to de-legitimate Israel. The Israelis may feel that they should not compromise and this would be dangerous for the process. Those who support Israel should not call for a greater Israel, not call for a continuation of the occupation of Palestinian cities and support those who favor the two-state solution. Pragmatism must be put before ideology and peace.

The Palestinians refuse to condemn terrorism directed at Jewish civilians. Terrorism is not always caused by poverty, frustration, exclusion or poverty. Terrorist leaders can recruit people to blow themselves up and are leaders who are wealthy, well-educated and calculating. The suicide bomber is created at the point where anger at the Occupation and militant Islam meet. The reason they opt for terrorism is because it has a proven track record of success, particularly certain kinds of terrorism. The more violent their terrorism got, the more the Palestinians got recognition for their cause. It was the European community and the United Nations which gave it observer status, unique to any other group seeking statehood.
Everybody knows of the plight of the Palestinian people but when the Palestinian situation is put in comparison to the Kurds, the Tibetans and the Armenians, those claims are certainly no greater because the Tibetans have been under occupation for a far longer time period and they have never been offered a state. The Palestinians were offered a state in 1948 and they turned it down. They could have had a state between 1948 and 1967 and they turned it down. They were offered a state at Camp David and they turned it down. The Palestinian cause leapfrogged over all other causes because of terrorism. They've killed so many people, people have elevated their claim. People think they must have a more important claim than the Kurds and the Armenians because the Palestinians use global terrorism and the Kurds and the Armenians do not.
It is a war crime for terrorists to hide among civilians. It compels democracies to choose between allowing the terrorists to continue to kill innocent civilians in a democracy or taking military action which will often result in some civilian casualties. It is never acceptable to target civilians. It violates the Geneva Accords, it violates the international law of war and it violates all principles of morality. Terrorism seems to depend on the group targeted.
