Shopping on-line can in some cases be cheaper, the risks though can outweigh the benefits. Buying a product you can see is often safer as you can see, feel and test the item. You can see if you know what to look for whether its a fake or poorly made, also you can spot fakes behind the obvious outside. For example a car may look great on-line but behind the polished paintwork may be problems that cant be seen unless you can see under the car or unless you can drive it. Problems such as steering , braking or balance problems will not appear until you drive it.
A very cheap car that can be put right cheaply may still be good value but its very risky indeed. A car is a complicated example but can apply to almost anything you might consider buying on line. A folded jumper may look completely different unfolded, a distant picture of a mp3 player may look very different close up. While the majority of on-line sellers will give you what you see in the pictures and will sell the genuine article there will be some who will use the inter net platform to con you.
EBay sellers for example are expected to follow a selling code for their items that they sell. These guidelines are normally adhered to , but now always. Some items are not sent, some aren't what was expected and some are simply fake. Beware of things that appear to be too cheap, they could well be fakes and the seller is trying to make the product stand out. Also be careful of poor or vague pictures with the item, though even good pictures could be of a product that differs from the one sent.
When you do get the real thing there are still things to factor in to the price you end up paying in total. Postage and packing is often added to the price, also some will add for insurance for the items transit. This all adds up, though going to the shop could also incur charges like parking and fuel. The calculations need to be made in order to get he best deal. A few years back the inter-net on balance probably did rule but these days not so much. With the economy being so bad the high street is having to fight back with price cuts in order to attract customers. Also many streets will have a discount shop selling certain goods at very low prices indeed. In order to get the best prices look around for the shops offering deals and benefits with their products, whether high street or on-line. Be careful with all purchases and look around first.
