Biking safety is about common since. We have all biked since little kids, and I don't remember wearing a helmet. Helmets are required in certain cercumstances where danger looms around the corner, or up the street. Wear a helmet if you are road biking, and there is a lot of traffic around. Also wear a helmet if you are mountain biking on rough terrain, or on terrain that is very technical. Children should always wear a helmet. Lets be serious here folks, its a bicycle. Get on ride and use common since. All of this commotion about wearing a helmet is brought on by corporate bike companies that want to sell helmets. Most good helmets will run you at least $100. Get back to living and don't be afraid to be alive. Helmets could save your life if you are in an accident, but they will also save your life if you are walking down the street, helmet on, and you are hit by a car. So we could argue that wearing a helmet in everyday life could be conducive to living a long life.
