Which is better: Coke or Pepsi?

Created on: September 09, 2010

Coke or Pepsi, this has been a very long debate, which still does not have a definitive answer. It would appear this particular debate will remain up to the taster, doing the tasting.

As a person who has actually had a position giving the Pepsi challenge back in the nineteen eighty's, this challenge was given between these two famous drink rivals, for the sole purpose of the American public to finally decide what the best drink was. What a promotional idea, that benefited both soft drink companies, with all the advertising and word of mouth comments about the challenge.

To this day there is still a very strong debate among most people, who still drink these age old and time tested favorites. Whatever your personal taste buds like the best, weather it is the more syrup flavor of a fresh Pepsi, or a more bubbly taste that Coke offers.

There are very few similarities between these two soft drinks, aside from them both being a Carmel color and having carbonation in them, that would seem to be where the similarities end.

Coke does not have as much syrup included in the flavoring, thus keeping it from being too sweet to the taste. It seems to be the cola of choice to mix with any desired alcohol mixes in most clubs, bars or pubs.

While Pepsi is “not” stuck out there in the back corner, lacking for attention and a loyal consumer following, it has a strong presence in the soft drink world we live in today. Some restaurants choose to serve one or the other of these two drink products, while some places still offer the consumer the choice between the two. Whatever you like best, you will be in good company, with the country undoubtedly split down the middle, as it has been for many years now.

If you really want to know what you prefer and what your family will choose as their favorite, you could have your very own Pepsi verse Coke challenge in your home. Just fill two small cups with each of the soft drinks, without letting the person who is going to be taking the challenge see. Keeping in mind what cup contains Coke and what one is Pepsi. Next let them take a sip of each and tell you what one they think it is, and what soft drink they like the best. Once they have given their answers, you can reveal what one it was that they did choose. You and the person may be surprised, although if you choose the other guy, you can still drink your favorite.
