The most basic SEO (Search Engine Technique) is selecting appropriate words that act as bait for web spiders, bots, or crawlers. They, armed with a group of words and a programmed notion of what the researcher has requested, crawls all over the Internet or the World Wide Web looking for appropriate content.

It must be emphasized up front, however, that SEO techniques can be used to the extent that they deceive. This is when important words are overused - this is called stuffing the article with words. It's like standing in an unemployment line with one potential employee, seeking the lone job offered, holding up a sign stating his qualifications for the job. There are other deceptive ways of trying to get up front to be noticeable by search engine wizards, html code writing visible only to bots, and excessive use of sites to advertise your wares and giving no mind to the protocol of good advertising methods, and many more. 

This method of getting there first using false methods and most often with the least to say, is called Black Hat SEO techniques. Avoid that derogatory label by not listing a long list of words repeated over and over. Instead choose three or four words that point to the topic and settle for that. As an example of that let's consider the topic, Farming as it was done in the early colonies. 

The correct way to use SEO words  is to write SEO Words is to correctly address the issue or problem one is writing about, but put the most important words in the descriptive first two or three sentences. When in line for work, that means patiently waiting one's turn. When the article has been uploaded to a blog, to a web site or to wherever, and keywords are to be filled in, allowable keywords would be farming, colonial farming methods, how first settlers farmed, and that would be about enough. Not early farming repeated ten or fifteen times, or a list containing every word related to farming.

 Other ways of  using SEO words?  Paid advertising is one way of increasing one's ability to get chosen by the web crawlers. That gives companies, and others who want to get their messages out, an up front place. Or, somehow  more visible online, is another technique that is often employed in getting one's business venture out to where it can be seen and sought after. This is done by appropriately using keywords to their best advantage. In an article, as an example, make sure the title fits the message.
