My dark side creeps,
It crawls in the underbelly of my soul,
Beneath the facade of my smile,
Its foul stench lingers,
Behind my angel blue eyes,
It is the corruption of all that I touch.
My dark side rots,
Nestled in the cadaver of my broken ambition,
I pray they cannot see it,
In the things that I do,
And I hope to God no-one hears,
When it slips like venom from my tongue.

Wonder why you were still alive?
Ever feel guilty, because you fought
My dark side resides deep within,
far away from the touching light,
staying silent until it begins,
the sunset and the arrival
