A mound of green rising to the heavens
Me on top surveying the terrain
I push my feet firmly on the pedals
My girl, her dress up to the knees, squealing on the handlebars
Slowly at first
Small jolts translated to paroxysm of laughter
A shoe lost but not cared about
Fear's delightful intimacy
Her hair, smelling of summer
Speckled light dappling the trees
A racetrack of dandelions
A fast bike, a slow mind
Bone breaking rattling through my body
Screams that split the air
A tire hits a stone
Lifting us to a moment of airborne eternity
