A very small Christian group in Florida finds it necessary to burn the Quran in public as a symbol of the evil contained within the passages of the book.  Muslims around the world are reacting in a fashion that gives the Christian sect in Florida, the impetus for their actions.  The whole world has gone completely nuts, and the more fanatic Christians and Muslims alike, cling to the word of God in some strange justification for their cruel and even deadly actions.

Again, history repeats itself.  This time the civilized world gets to relive the “Dark Ages,” go off, and fight the Crusade!  You remember the Crusade, when the Christian World went off to fight the Holy War at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives on both sides, and millions of dollars in taxes, raised while the European poor starved.  Interestingly, or at least ironically, the millions of dollars spent during the Crusades would just about equate today to the trillion-dollar debt the US has incurred in the wars in the Middle East and the tens of millions of dollars European countries contributed to fight the Muslim Jihads.

Obviously, the “civilized world” did not learn the most valuable lesson of the Crusades; killing in the name of God is ludicrous!  It was insane in the 11th century, and it is even more irresponsible and simple minded today, considering the theoretical advancement in culture and learning over the last ten centuries.

More people have died in the name of their God than any other cause.  When will people realize God brought them into this world, and can sure as hell take them out of this world without any help from the feeble minded, self-deluded misfits, who believe they are doing God’s work when they kill other people?

From the days of Cain and Abel all killing goes to a root cause.  The root cause, the motivation, can be explained as one or more of the Seven Deadly Sins.  Man has killed man in wars, with God on their side, since the beginning of time.  There has never been a war, or a reason to kill another man, which can be validated as the will of God.  If you examine every war you believe is justified, and follow it back to its origins, there is always a man, or group of men, who say God is on their side.  The only thing all the rulers and despot’s have on their side is the evil force of the Seven Deadly Sins.  These powerful men then raise armies by appealing to man’s belief in God and Justice.  What could be worth all the death and misery man has inflicted on man?

There are always men ready to twist the words of God.  Men who speak as if they know what is best, the true will of God, stand every week in front of their faithful members of religious sects, and foster such conviction, some even believe what they say, but all are deluded.  The truth, God is in all men, and all men know right from wrong.  Killing is always reprehensible and people should question anyone who says differently. What would be the outcome if the next time man chooses to go to war, no one shows up on the field of battle?  Chances are man will never know, because  as man becomes more proficient at dealing death on an ever larger scale, soon it will all get out of hand, and no one will be alive to claim victory.
