When you are looking for ideas for a great vacation, there is a whole world of options open to you. You can fly to the ends of the earth or you can find a great destination around the corner. If that many choices is intimidating, here are a few vacation ideas for you to consider.

~The Road Trip

See the USA in your Chevrolet was a slogan that many Americans grew up with. It holds as true today as it did 40 or 50 years ago. Pack up the kids, the mini van and the cooler and hit the road. You can be spontaneous or your can have an itinerary, it really doesn't matter unless you plan to visit a very popular summer destination, then reservations are essential.

This is a way to get to know your kids, your spouse or even your mother-in-law. It is very hard to travel together in a vehicle and not talk, you will probably be saying, "spare me the details",  by the end of the trip but there is nothing like it for bringing families together.

~Go Foreign

Quebec City

Canada is a magnificent country that is a close neighbor of the United States. Quebec is one destination in Canada that will not seem like home, it will have a definite foreign flavor. Whether that is due to the French language that is spoken or the fabulous food is up to you to decide. If you are looking for a little taste of Europe that is closer than a flight across the Atlantic, Quebec City is the perfect choice.

Dublin Ireland

If you have always wanted to visit Europe, Dublin is a great choice. It is definitely a part of Europe but is an easy flight from the east coast of the United States and there is no language barrier which can indeed make for a great vacation. No matter what you are looking for, history, culture or a great pub experience, Dublin offers it to you in a big way.

If you are looking for a warm, sunny and laid back vacation destination, Key West may just be the perfect destination. While it is part of the United States you feel as if you have left all the stress and hassle behind as soon as you hit the streets or the beaches of this southernmost part of the United States. You can enjoy Margaritaville and it is always 5 o’clock somewhere when you are vacationing in Key West. With near perfect weather year round, you can visit any time that works for you.

~Enjoy the outdoors

Vancouver BC

When it comes to outdoor beauty and activities, Vancouver British Columbia is hard to beat. With magnificent water and mountain views all in the same location, how can you go wrong? Vancouver offers great biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and just about any outdoor activity including shopping that suits your vacation style. There are amazing parks and open spaces along with fabulous restaurants and entertainment. Enough to guarantee a great vacation.

~Cruise

If you want to see somewhere a little distant from you but don't want the hassle of getting there, cruising can be the perfect vacation. You can sit back, relax and let the staff pamper you while you head to your favorite vacation destination. While the destination is the main event, in this case getting there can be as much if not more fun. Cruising can take you to Alaska, a Norwegian Fjord, the Panama Canal or the South Pacific. Warm climates or the cold of Antarctica are all possible on a cruise.

These are just a few of the great vacation options  that you have to choose from. The world is your apple and whether you choose the Big Apple or the farthest reaches of the Sahara Desert, you can have a great vacation that will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.
