You can save a lot of money by making your angel Halloween costume completely from scratch. There are many different angel costumes you can choose from. Here are some ideas for women's heavenly angel and fallen angel Halloween costumes that you can make yourself.

Making a homemade angel costume for Halloween is a great way to save money and to make your costume totally unique. The heavenly angel costume is popular, but many people also overlook bad angel costumes such as the fallen angel and the angel of death. No matter what your personality or interests, you can make an angel Halloween costume that is right for you. Here are a few fun ideas for adult angel costume and accessories.

Heavenly Angel Halloween Costume and Accessories for Women

To make a heavenly angel Halloween costume, get a long white satin dress with bell sleeves. Then get two wire coat hangers and some white panty hose to make the wings. Unbend the coat hangers into the shape of an angel wing.

Stretch one leg of the white panty hose over the coat hanger. If your wings are large, you may cut open the panty hose and hot glue it onto the hanger. You can also use white sheer fabric to cover the angel costume wings. Glue white craft feathers to the exterior of the angel wings. Attach white craft feathers to the wings with glue. Allow the glue to dry completely before continuing.

Attach an elastic strap to each of the wings to attach them to your shoulders. Alternatively, you could also sew them onto the back of your angel dress.

To make the angel's halo, wrap metallic gold or silver chenille stems into a circle large enough to fit your head. Also get a slender white headband. Attach the halo to the headband with craft wire so that it appears to hover 4 or 5 inches over the headband. Wear white shoes or sandals. Add accessories such as a harp and silver or white jewelry.

Fallen Angel Halloween Costume and Accessories for Women

The best way to make a fallen angel costume is to use Gothic fashions. Get a black skirt with a frayed hem or a sheer fabric overlay. Also find a black or black and red lace up bodice. To make your fallen angel Halloween costume sexy, wear a short black miniskirt and halter top or sleeveless lace up bodice. Make your halo using similar methods and materials as the heavenly angel halo. However, instead of using a metallic chenille stem, make a circle out of dark-colored craft wire and glue a piece of a cheap black feather boa onto it. Attach it to a black headband with craft wire.

Make fallen angel wings by shaping two wire hangers into a semi-circular shape. Get about three feet of sheer black fabric. Attach it to the coat hanger with hot glue. Rip the fabric vertically into strips, but leave the top two or three inches of the fabric intact. Add ripped black fishnet hose, high-heeled shoes or boots. Platform shoes or boots would also make an attractive addition to the fallen angel Halloween costume. Add accessories such as black fishnet gloves and black jewelry to make your fallen angel Halloween costume complete.
