If you can tear yourself away from the many stunning resorts, hotels and day spas San Diego has to offer, there is an array of fun activities and events that take place in this beautiful area of the United States.

Visit the Children's Museum if you have little one's in tow. The Museum opened in May of 2008 with the aspiration of inspiring kids of all ages to play, think and create. There are floor to ceiling murals, plenty of arts and crafts activities, many hands-on activities that kids can move, climb on and over and can touch and feel making their uniquely designed playground a true pleasure to the senses. It is also San Diego's largest public green building.

Plan a trip to see the USS Midway Museum for another educational experience. The exhibit documents how President Roosevelt brought The Great White Fleet to San Diego creating the largest Navy complex we have in the world.

Seaworld added a few great attractions in the last couple of years with one being the two acre Sesame Street themed play area. It introduces kid friendly rides, a live musical production with Big Bird on center stage. It also features a 4-D movie starring the gang of Sesame Street.

Legoland added a half a dozen new rides in the past few years as well as a 36,000 square foot indoor aquarium with marine life and an array of play zones.

For adult friendly entertainment try your hand at a game of golf at the Vista Valley Country Clubs 18 hole, Ted Robinson designed course. In June you can catch the pros in action at Torrey Pines Golf Course. They are host to the U.S. Open in June. Head on over to the historic Balboa Theatre downtown. They offer a stellar summer line-up.
