It is absolutely mind boggling how this medium can be used to promote issues, causes business, ideas opinions. It has literally given anyone with a computer and Internet access a platform and a voice that can be heard globally.

There are hundreds of thousands social media sites and millions of people using social media on a regular basis. it is quickly becoming the popular choice for communication and staying in touch. Individuals from all walks of life are using social media celebrities, teens, professionals, entrepreneurs I could go on and on but i won't. In addition literally people from ever country in the world use social media.

This is a powerful medium and it provides anyone interested in becoming involved in social media marketing a chance to truly make connections that could impact markets, culture, industry at unlimited levels of impact. This is an excellent way to become in touch with pockets of thought leaders, movers and shakers to start literal marketing revolutions throughout cyberspace. an ordinary Joe could become a superstar in a matter of weeks.

The main responsibility of a social marketer is to become relevant. Therefore you need to attract friends and/or followers. This can be done by making lots of nice comments about others posts that interest you.

Post information that is thought provoking.By utilizing questions and quotes is good for this purpose. Also read others posts see what is getting buzz

Let the info go

The more you post the more opportunity you have to build a following. If you have a though or idea post it. your post need to be made often . I would suggest every other day for the first two months.

Stay fresh

Always reinvent your message . You can say the same thing as long as it doesn't sound the same. Your post should be current yesterdays news is old news.

Embrace transparency

When you see post that let member into a personal experience or situation make a comment thanking that person in a more intimate way such as email or in their site in box.

Promote other users

If you are inspired by others post it to let everyone know by making a post of your own and mentioning that persons name.
