Reasons why people get fired

There are many different kinds of jobs in the world and they all have their own standards for employees to succeed at them.  Most people do not want to get fired from their jobs and lose their way of making a living.  Depending on the way an employee gets fired, they can be barred from working in their chosen industry ever again.  However, some people actually WANT to get fired because they can only earn unemployment insurance if they are let go from their jobs.  Most people get fired because their resentment of their jobs starts to affect their job performance.  When people don’t like their jobs, they usually don’t try very hard to keep their jobs.  Here are some common reasons why people get fired:

Lateness and absenteeism

Showing up late to work will never win you points with the boss.  The same rule goes for missing too many days from work.  Employers expect that if you are hired for a position that you will be there to fulfill that job role during the hours assigned to you.  There are many reasons why you could be late for work.  Perhaps your car frequently breaks down.  If that is the case, don’t expect your employer to be sympathetic because more than likely they will advise you to either take the bus or get a new vehicle.  Many employers are unsympathetic to lateness if your children get sick and you couldn’t make it to work on time to take of them.  Frequent absenteeism and lateness are big and very justifiable reasons why employees get fired because not having employees on hand to do the work can cost an employer a lot of money and a loss of customers.

Frequent complaints

Not all employees are thrilled with their jobs but it serves little purpose to complain about their jobs while at their workplaces.  When managers hear employees constantly complaining about their jobs, those employees are usually the first ones to be let go from the company.  As well, if other employees and customers or clients are complaining about how certain employees are performing on the job, an employer is most likely going to fire employees that are causing problems for the company.  Employers strive to keep a positive company image and they cannot risk keeping employees who cast the company in a negative light.

Company theft

Stealing from the company you work for is definitely ill advised!  As obvious as it may be to refrain from stealing from the company you
