It is said, " Past is history, future is mystery, and our present is a gift for us, that is why, it is called Present." The best age of ours is present age, for we cannot bring back the past moments; our future is uncertain. Therefore, it is important for us to lead a fulfilling life in present.
Happiness does not lie in days, weeks, months or years. In fact, it lies hidden in our present moments. What we need most is to find it and appreciate it. Those who enjoy their present life to the full always remain happy and satisfied. Our present time is our precious asset. Therefore, wise people always give the present time prime importance to shape their future as well. The hard work done in the present time will yield positive and desired results in future.
Lamenting or repenting over the past mistakes or blunders ruin our present moments as well. Unfortunate are those who waste their precious present time in repentance over their past errors and mistakes. These lamentations will serve no purpose. Wisdom and prudence demands us to learn from our past mistakes and pledge to ourselves not to repeat in days to come. We must not allow our horrible past haunt us in our present, spoiling our present time as well. One must know that time once passed can never come back. So it is unwise to think about the past every time. The better course of action is to move on with renewed vigour and energy coupled with the past experience to start a new life with new hopes and great expectations of better life.
People who are well aware of the importance of their present time always avoid wasting or squandering it aimlessly. They hate procrastination. They believe that their present actions will better their future and will bring them tremendous results.
When it comes to religious views, people are even more interested in present. They know that they will be held accountable on the day of judgement and will be rewarded as per their good and bad deeds. They will reap in the Hereafter what they have sown here now. The worship they do in their present time will help them seek forgiveness for their sins from their Lord- the Most merciful and Most gracious.
So, it is desirable for all of us to understand the significance of our present moments and try our utmost to make the most of them, making our worldly life and the life to come more successful and joyful.
