Teaching is a noble, sublime and prophetic profession. Teachers are builders of nations. They help us shape our future and lead a successful life. Therefore, they have huge responsibility to fulfil in this regard. They are supposed to be selfless, devoted, committed, honest and energetic coupled with the great spirit of service to humanity without discrimination.
A good teacher is always fully aware of his significant role in a society, and tries his utmost to do the full justice with it. He takes deep and genuine interest in the welfare of his students. Nothing delights a sincere and hard working teacher more than a resounding success of his students in both their academic and practical life. He knows that children are like wax. It's up to him how he moulds them into useful, productive and worthwhile people to benefit the society in the long run. He is selflessly involved in bringing good out of them with constant effort and determination.
A good teacher always encourages his students, helping them sharpen their skills and enhance their confidence. He also avoid being harsh, strict and discouraging, for he knows that his irresponsible attitude can kill the talent and shatter the confidence of many shy students who just need some encouragement and appreciation. He always inspires and motivates his students to work harder than ever to reach the height of success. He also knows the magic and wonders of motivation, and uses it timely and effectively to give his students much-needed fillip to go ahead in their career. His motivational words make his students bold, confident, strong and persistent despite all odds.
Patience and tolerance are also fine and notable traits of a good teacher. He painstakingly works hard to help his students improve themselves with each passing day. He is never impatient and hasty. He believes that constant labour with love will always yield desired result.
Moral and ethical values are part and parcel of a good personality. A good teacher can hardly think to ignore these basic ingredients of shaping a good personality. He inculcates in his students all the moral and ethical values desirable in a good personality. He enables them to be respectful, obedient, constructive, productive and useful members of a society.
A good teacher has boundless love and genuine interest in his job. He treats his job as something great and noble. He is proud of what he is doing for the society. He loves respect and honour. He never gives any importance to money. His worships his job and takes the meticulous care to fulfill his responsibilities successfully and satisfactorily.
