She Becomes Me
Inside of me
Buried deep
Is another me
I try and keep her in
I tell her when she peeks out
That I am a mother
A lover
A sister
I make her go back inside
And I stifle her
Tell her not to come out
That she is not me
Sometimes she makes a run for it
And she becomes me
The darker me
The other me
The one that throws back tequilla
Runs naked through the grass
Laughs to loud
Stays out to late
The one who is capable
Of breaking a heart
The darker me
The other me
I stifle her
I make her go back
Until I am me once again
The me that I should be
Somehow though I am so afraid
That one day all too soon
The other me
Will never again be seen
And I will remain
Simply me

The Darkened Beast
Amidst the golden heart there lies,
A beast that lurks unseen.

Lurks

A grain of sand in Neverland
That no one’s eye invades
The blood pours down a single hand
Emerging from the shades
Did you ever wake up dead?
Did you ever wake up dead, and
Wonder why you were still alive?
Ever feel guilty, because you fought
My dark side resides deep within,
far away from the touching light,
staying silent until it begins,
the sunset and the arrival
