Where to find eMachine replacement parts online

If you have an eMachines product, there are many places online where you can find replacement parts when something goes bad.  Your first stop should be the eMachines customer care site, where you can find out how to contact eMachines for technical support or for a replacement part.  (One nice feature of the site is a whole list of downloadable instructions for replacing specific parts.)  If you don't have a warranty or don't want to go through eMachines, the following websites will be happy to sell you eMachines replacement parts:

- ImpactComputers.com
Impact sells a lot of eMachines parts.  You can browse for the part you need by either category (such as cooling fans or power supplies) or by model name, or you can use the site's search engine.  For help with searching, use the Advanced Search feature (found under the Customer Service link at the top of the page).  Impact accepts payment by PayPal, but you have to pay separately, not through the site's normal checkout.  Any in-stock parts will ship within 24 hours.

- TigerDirect.com
TigerDirect has eMachines parts, but the site is a little cumbersome to use.  You have to search by model number (or part number if you know it) but once you type in your model number you'll see a list of all the parts they sell for that model, including any cables, power supplies, network cards, and other components.  Orders under $50 will ship for $7.95, and the cost goes up by the amount of the total purchase, to a maximum shipping charge of $11.95 (excluding special charges).

- CPUTOPIA.com
At CPUTOPIA you can find eMachines parts grouped by category, but you can also search if you know the part number.  They only offer certain kinds of parts, but the part descriptions are detailed and the site is easy to use.  If you're ordering a motherboard, you can choose to upgrade the CPU or RAM, or add a power supply, from the user-friendly drop-down menus.  Orders that are placed before noon (Pacific Standard Time) on weekdays will ship the same day.

- Skyline-Eng.com
Skyline Engineering sells parts for many different brands of computers, but they specialize in eMachines and Gateway.  You can browse for your model (select laptop or desktop, then series, then model) or you can search for the part.  The site has a Clearance section with special deals.  If you don't find the part you are looking for, you can email them to see if they'll be able to get it for you.
