As a genre that is fuelled by stories of life, love, torment and heartbreak, the country music genre has subsequently seen the rise of many famous women to prominence throughout the course of its history, all of whom share their own unique tales of the aofrementioned situations and scenarios. While the modern day country genre is dominated by such women as Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, it is important to look at the beautiful feminine faces of the past that made the careers of these aspiring young women possible to begin with. With a career spanning over thirty years from the 1960’s leading up to her death in 1998, Tammy Wynette stands as arguably one of the most influential female country artists of all time. In the midst of rising to fame and success of her own for her truly flawless hits such as “Stand By Your Man”, the country goddess also went on to achieve a total of seventeen number one hits in the midst of collaborations such names as Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton, but Tammy is most famous for being the wife of fellow country singer, George Jones.

Loretta Lynn is a name that is synonymous with the country music genre both past and present. Now in her late 70’s, Loretta still performs each and every year all across the world in a career that has now spanned half a century.
