If you know what to look for and have a general idea about what a woman's body language means you can probably determine how she feels about you. There are physical indicators that are sometimes overlooked. Blushing and being unable to maintain eye contact are two of the more obvious and well known signals that a woman is interested in you. Most of us learned this in grade school, so let's discuss other signs.

Do you have her full attention? When you are speaking a woman who is interested she will most often keep her eyes on you as you talk. This gives her a chance and a reason to take in your attractiveness without seeming to stare. If she looks away or seems uninterested that is a pretty good sign that she's not into you.

Watch the alignment of her body. When attraction is there she will have her body "facing" you often. This is an unspoken sign that she is enjoying your company and is open to the possibilities that a future might hold. If she angles her body away from you, only turning her head to speak, it is likely that interest is not there. That is an indication that she is subtly "shutting you out".

Primping and/or fidgeting. Women who are attracted to someone often unconsciously preen. Running fingers through their hair, making smoothing motions and sitting up straighter are all ways that she is trying to be more desirable. Fidgeting, or nervous motion, is another sign you should look for. Playing with earrings or a necklace, wringing hands together and other unusual behavior can be a sign of nervousness.

How large of an area does she seem to need as personal space? If she shows signs of discomfort when you are within 3 feet of her it might be time to look for love elsewhere. However, if she seems perfectly comfortable with your physical closeness she is probably interested in you.

By taking a bit of time and paying close attention, you will usually be able to tell if a woman is enjoying herself and interested in you. While it is possible to misread body language, when certain signals are mixed together it soon becomes obvious to the more alert man. Some of what has been described above can also be used as a test of sorts. Try moving closer to her and see what reaction you get. Watch her as you are speaking. You must keep your eyes open to see the signs.
