Deep within my soul,

I could tell this day was coming,

But the mere thought of it,

Brought me down,

For I did not want to believe it.

Deep within my soul,

I can see,

That we are not meant to be,

The feelings you once had for me,

Are truelly gone.

Deep within my soul,

This love has taken a toll,

That I can no longer pay,

I have made a fool of myself yet again,

I only pray that I could do the same,

And be able to look the other way.
