Recently, after many months of waiting and hype, Apple rolled out their brand new iPod Touch. This iPod is loaded with many new features and has been made very much like the new iPhone 4. These new features will allow gaming like never before, video calls, improved speed and power, and a breathtaking display:

*Retina display

The iPod Touch has finally adapted the HD display that has been on the iPhones. This display is truly amazing, making everything you see on the iPod Touch extremely clear and crisp. It has multiplied the number of pixels on the screen by 4 as compared to the last generation of iPod Touches. This is more than the eye can even see! Apple boasts that the pixels on the Retina display are a mere 78 micrometers wide, that’s only 0.00307086614 inches!

*Facetime

Facetime is an application for the iPod Touch and iPhone that brings calling to a whole new level. It is the application that makes video calls possible on the iPod Touches and iPhones. This is probably the most awaited feature on the new iPod Touch as it allows you to make video calls over wifi, with no need of a cell phone. Not only that, but the iPod Touch now has two cameras. One in the front, so you can talk face to face with someone, and one in the back, so they can see exactly what you are looking at.

*HD Video

The new iPod touch now has High Definition 720p video recording! It also has a backside illumination sensor that will allow your iPod to take HD video in both high and low light. Along with its new ability to shoot video, you can edit them too. The iPod comes with basic editing software and you can buy the iMovie app for only $4.99 in the Apple App Store. You can also take point and shoot pictures with your new iPod Touch.             

*Game Center

Game Center is a brand new app for the iPod touch and iPhone that will allow you and all of your friends to connect, compare, and play all of your favorite games together. This app will let you automatically choose people to play against and will have leader boards both among your friends and the world.

*Apple A4 chip

This is the power, and power saver, behind the new iPod touch. This new A4 chip will be able to make the iPod faster, allowing it to do things such as multitasking, facetime, and video editing.

*3 Axis Gyroscope

Gamers rejoice, the iPod Touch now has a 3 Axis Gyroscope. This will take gaming to a new dimension, allowing the iPod Touch to sense acceleration in every direction better and more accurate than ever before.

Along with these already amazing features, apple iPod touches are able to do much more. You can now put your applications into folders, allowing for organization and speed. Also, with its new mic, you can now make voice memos on your iPod Touch. Parents will be happy because they can set parental controls onto the iPod, keeping the children safe from viewing unwanted websites. Also, the ever-so-popular multitasking is now introduced, allowing you to play many apps at once. The iPod touch has truly been re-worked and it is now thinner, more powerful, and more fun than ever before.
