Poetry: Arrogance

by Kelly Charlton

Created on: September 03, 2010

Peacock

He’s all pimped out in his Stacy Adams boots

and his expensive Armani suit.

He drives to work in a late-model Jag,

but can’t repay the money he owes

to the secretary he yells at daily,..

Twenty bucks he borrowed to place on a losing bet.

(He never gets his football picks right.)

But make no mistake,

he’s the Head Negro in Charge,

He won’t  let you forget

as he struts across the schoolyard

that this is HIS school, and

You work for HIM.

He’s an ass!
