Poetry: Just so you know

by Terrell Newbill

Created on: September 01, 2010   Last Updated: September 29, 2010

I thought I should mention

I'll never really forgive you, you know, like you never really loved me

You weren't "blinded by life", you just refused to see

I think its worth saying

I have counted every lie

32 figments of your imagination, pigments of truth you pulled from the sky

Not that it matters but

I never told you a single one

I loved you more than a child loves the bright summer sun

For the record

You're the only girl I know who can make a grown man cry

And the only one who does it with a grin, a smile, foxish and sly

Just so you know

You didn't really hurt me, this whole poem is a lie

Just thought I'd return the favor, So I'll say again my favorite thing I ever said to you: Goodbye
