When flight has lost its charm

And a feather takes leave of its post

It does not fall

Rather it reminds the air that cannot

A single feather

Will fall off a wing

It will float away

From the flock

This beautiful feather

Will fly in

Scattered like snow on the barren earth

Poor dead birds

Pigeons in the park

Down comforters

Feather boas

Spanish

Feathers that fall

From flying birds

Become my quills

And write my words.

Sometimes a sonnet,

Or drama grand.

 My lover's

Feather white feather bright

fell from angles wing tonight

surfing gently to the floor

by my side for ever
