Ah September, you are finally here.
Oh how I have missed
Oh how I wish you could last all year
I love you September, you are my favorite
Your season is delightful
You are full of color
And you are filled with crisp cool mornings and lovely warm days
Please September, don't let your days go by fast this time
Let us enjoy you a little bit longer this year
And tell October and November to do the same.
Thank you September from your greatest admirerer.

Poetry: September
by Annji Brooks
Sister, dance! The way they said you did
Play your flute once more
Fingers that once moved autumn moons
While rainbows reflected
by Jay O'Toole
The days of heat, and beaded brow,
abate a bit with nippish breath,
As words repeat in minds that grow,
by Akua Hinds
Summer glee has fled from me
Because I remember the meaning of September
My summer gaiety must surrender
The light-hearted
September
Sycamore trees,
And the cool evening breeze.
Pearls on island beaches,
Tales of seagull screeches.
Long naps
September Dreamer
Waiting,
Wishing,
Wanting,
The leaves to change faster,
But not through disaster,
By God, who is Master.
