You work hard to put up a site. You are ready for the money to start rolling in. You throw on some Google AdSense ads and sit and wait. If you are like most people then you are checking your AdSense numbers daily, maybe even more than one time a day waiting for those first few clicks and first few pennies. Most people think it is easy, but it isn't. You will have to work a bit in order to start having Google AdSense make you money. There are things that you can do to make a huge difference in your AdSense revenue.

Write great content.

You need something that draws people to you. Your number one traffic generator is the content that you put on your site. Some people feel that it is best to write sub par material so that people will be more likely to click on the ads for more information. However, if you do this it will be harder for you to get traffic to your site because others aren't going to want to come back and to share your site as a place for information. So, write great content.

Market yourself well.

If you have no traffic you won't make any money with Google AdSense. It is really that simple to start out with. You need to focus on marketing your website and getting the name out there. You can make a huge difference in your earnings by getting more traffic to your site. Consider backlinks, sharing links, link exchange, comments and profiles in places that are relevant to your topic. Work on getting your name out there.

Tweak your ads.

Slapping your AdSense ads on there just won't do. You need to find the best places to place your ads so that you can make more money with them. You will want to try different locations, different sizes, and different colors to find out what works best for your site, content, and visitors. This is how you will make a difference taking the traffic that you have and turning it into clicks.

Keywords.

Many people make money with AdSense by seeking keywords that are high earners. Some keywords can earn you dollars verses cents and there are a few out there that will earn as much as $20 a click. You can do this if you want, but you might find an easier stratagy to be to optimize your site for keywords. It is important that your site show ads that are likely to draw the attention of the person who is reading your material. If the ads that show up aren't relevant to the person who is reading your site then they won't click. You should center your site around a set of keywords. Use them naturally so that people are likely to enjoy reading your material, but make sure that they are used and that you focus on them. This will make sure that the ads that you post will be ads that your readers will be interested in!

You can make money from Google AdSense. You can increase your earnings. You first need to provide content that your readers want to read. Then you will want make sure that you are working on getting more and more people to your site. With a little bit of tweaking of the ads and careful use of keywords within your content and you will be getting more clicks and making more money.
