Regulation

It is catch 22, we would want regulations for the safety of our children, but at the same time adults should have the freedom to speak what they say. With the internet growing in mass proportions and almost every child from the early ages of 5 to adult hood has used the internet, their are still parents who neglectfully let their children do, say and act the way they want to on the internet. This problem also comes into play with freedom of speech.

However, you see the problems growing worse with facebook, MySpace and YouTube. Each social networking site along with twitter has a hard time not always being able to keep little children off of their sites. With fake ages, birthdates, names and what-not network sites like these do not always have the ability to research and document each and every user for there are over thousands of users that use these social networking sites. The problem with this question lines in with not should the fact that these social networking sites regulate inappropriate material, but this question does not list the specific guidelines in which they should regulate these materials.

If an eleven year old girl/boy said he/she is thirteen and posts a video on YouTube using cusswords, attitude and threatening his/her haters, than these social networking sites should kick in on their regulations and put down all accounts, affiliated names and watch for future postings of these certain users. It is a well known fact that most individuals who use the internet including parents do not understand that when other individuals are attacked by these certain children, than the other users go beyond means to attack the child and parents with all they got.

It is much like being in school or in a work environment. You don't walk down the aisle or hall and go "Hey b*&#( what's up?" However on the internet, the freedom of speech is again being tarnished as these individuals continue their hateful posts and attack anyone they can. While most have learned that haters are going to be everywhere and in reality as well these other individuals learn to deal with it by maturely posting funny blogs, vlogs or other means of media outlet. The problem with certain sites like MySpace and YouTube is that they have grown way out of proportions and to have someone regulate all users videos, posts, pictures and other materials that may generate through their postings requires a lot of manpower, time and money. While it may create more legitimate jobs
