How writing frees the mind

Created on: August 31, 2010

Sometimes you don't want to speak to anyone and the word choice which comes out may not be the most pleasing. In that case, writing is an outlet through which you can observe, organize and assess your choices. It frees the mind and visually creates concepts which surprisingly takes on a life of it's own.

You see, historically, authors, poets and writers of all walks of life have found solace through this form of solitude. While the furies which surrounds them comes with purpose, those of us on the hobbyist level find it just gets better with age like fine wine. It is a symptom through which we're compelled to insert our emotions into. Thus, the more you work on it, the better it flows. For that is the one thing which develops in our voice, a prose. Over time, this helps with our engagement with others and improves our lifestyle choices as well.

Moreover, writing has a mind of it's own. It can say the things which we cannot normally say in real life and make sense of the chaos we don't normally understand. While there is no limit to how much our writing can grow, it allows the process of creativity to enrich our mundane lives with life other than our own miseries. So we can turn the bottom towards up and the black into white. It is these forms through which persuasion, narration and the mystery of possibilities that makes thinking a writer's dream. Furthermore, the questions which lingers on love, death, pain and even the sciences of nature intrigues our ongoing quest for life. Our voice then is truly unique.

So when we present our ideas through writing, we can release time through a concise form without sounding like we've lost anything much. The power through which we convince ourselves with words is also relevant here. As not only does writing helps you therapeutically, it reveals your underlying psychology unbeknown to you. Therefore we sing, we act, we describe things with the fervor through which our life depends on the words we've already heard. While we invent, refine and throw back out hypotheses which can change time and time again.

Overall, writing becomes an integration of our heart, mind and soul. It alleviates any mental deformities. After all, it is a cognitive process. Emptying out everything we have inside into a medium through which we can see and take back in frees us from that which we are unable to control. Writing does that and more.
