In Memory of My Grandfather, William O. Jones
Oh, my loved ones, please, don't cry
Tears of bitterness and sorrow;
I leave you with no sad 'goodbye'
Nor a hopeless tomorrow.
Though I weep that I must leave you,
Know I'll always be close at heart-
Hold strong to my love all day through
And we'll ne'er be truly apart.
Take solace that I now rest
In our Heavenly Father's arms,
Forever at peace, loved, and blessed,
Nevermore to face pain or harm.
Cherish my smiles and laughter
And dwell not on the pain of today
Because in this world after,
I shall wait for the glorious day
When God calls all His children home
And we, again, are face to face,
No more to live lost and alone,
But forever in the Lord's embrace!

Poetry: When you bury me
by Paul Morgan
Not dead, but sleeping.
I was not dead, but sleeping
when you went and buried me.
Can you not now hear me calling
from the old
by JRR
When I take my final breath
And they prepare to lay me in the ground
There are things I need you to remember
Know I will
When you bury me
down deep in the earth
I want you to know,
for whatever it's worth-
That I always loved you
more than myself
When you bury me
hold me in your heart
As they lower my body into the cold earth
and you must part with my physical existence
In Memory of My Grandfather, William O. Jones
Oh, my loved ones, please, don't cry
Tears of bitterness and sorrow;
I leave
