Poetry: Tell me lies

Please Don't Tell Me

Don't tell me you don't love me
Because I don't want to know
Don't tell me you must leave soon
Let my fantasy just flow
Hold me in your arms tonight
Let me know that we're okay
Don't let on you know
You must be off another day
Smother me in boyish charm
I'll pretend it is sincere
Just so I may have you
A little longer here
Let me lose myself in all
I want to feel today
Our closeness feels so amazing
Don't let me know you must go away
Just pretend you love me
Please don't let me know
There may come a time
When you will have to go.
