Poetry: Better days

by Adam Lee Buller

Created on: August 29, 2010

Gone are the empty days

When the days disappear

Where fearlessness rule,

In which selfish thoughts

Take over you

When feelings which you’ve never known

Feelings of love for others,

Now control your forward momentum

Yet stifle your selfish ambition

When the once excitable risk

Now seems a step too far

With Hungry Mouths to feed

And necessities to provide

Be Glad, not sad

For life you have found,

Love you have embraced

A place for which others yearn

Gone are the empty days

Which bring no lasting satisfaction,

Here are the Better days

Of everlasting joy!
